We are now looking for summer workers for the position of transport planner for a client in Solna. As a Transport Planner, your task is to collaborate with the client's terminals and goods flow to ensure that goods are delivered to or from stores, customers, and suppliers in a cost-effective manner with a focus on the environment and quality. The task mainly involves planning and booking transports from our client's supplier base in Sweden. Your tasks will include the following:

• Planning transports from supplier to main terminal and, in some cases, via the Transshipment Terminal (OT) in a cost-effective, qualitative, and optimal manner.
• Working closely with internal functions to plan the vehicle resources needed to secure the inbound transport of promotional goods.
• Acting on deviations in quality and cost on a daily and weekly basis through daily management and key figures.
• Optimizing fill rates and delivery times.
• A very close collaboration with colleagues in the planning department and promoting a developing and learning work approach.
• Daily contact with contractual partners (carriers).
• Collaborating with carriers, terminals, and suppliers.
• Collaborating with internal interfaces such as Goods Flow (operational purchasing).

The assignment means that you are employed by us at StudentConsulting but work as a consultant at our client's office in Solna. The position is full-time and starts in June until August. Working hours and days vary depending on the intended work area, but are scheduled from Sunday to Friday between 05:30 and 19:00 depending on the shift. There is a possibility to transition to part-time after the summer alongside your studies.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Studying a university/college education focused on engineering where studies continue after the summer
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
• Previous experience with SAP is an advantage
